This beautiful route begins at Adventure Parc Snowdonia & heads left out of the entrance before joining a lush forest trail before reaching a steep track. This track will test you & you’ll have to dig deep, slowing down when necessary but once you reach the top the epic trail running continues with expansive views of Snowdonia National Park. You’ll reach Aid Station One which is also a split point for the 10K route, a quick hydrate & fuel & you head deeper into the wild landscape running parallel to the large reservoir pipeline. From hereon the route is fast heading towards Singlen before peeling right & running past Llyn Eigiau Reservoir. The surrounding scenery is breathtaking as you push on to reach Aid Station 2 before a sharp left back into the rolling trails.
The route is remote with beautiful landscapes and brings you to your third Aid Station by Bron - y - Gadair (Outdoor Pursuit Centre) before a short stint & downhill road run passing historic ruins Pen - y - gaer, a Bronze Age natural defence site.
From heron you’re onto the home stretch as you explore trails leading back towards Adventure Parc Snowdonia, crossing Afon Dulyn River & a beautiful waterfall in the forest before reaching the road & a fast finish for runners who have energy in the tank! Spectacular mix of trails, wild forestry & expansive views of Snowdonia National Park, perfect for those who love an adventure!

This beautiful route begins at Adventure Parc Snowdonia & heads left out of the entrance before joining a lush forest trail before reaching a steep track. You’ll reach your only Aid Station to re-fuel, skirting the Medieval Township remains & taking on a gradual climb reaching your highest halfway point at 387m. The second half of the race is full of rolling downhill trails, watch your footing & soak up the wild views of Snowdonia National Park. You’ll pass Coedty Reservoir on your left, before crossing a country road before descending into gorgeous forestry along Afon Porth-llwyd, with breathtaking waterfall & rock pools alongside you.
Truly at one with nature, prepare yourself for an exciting race, wiggling through the forest before reaching tracks leading back down to the road for a fast finish for runners who have energy in the tank! This is a 10K you won’t forget & we recommend practicing your uphill & downhill trail running technique to fully appreciate the experience!

Please ensure all race numbers are visible to the marshals, as you will need to check in at each feed station on route. The courses will be fully marked and marshalled so no need for navigation and feed stations enroute.

You'll simply collect yours at race reg with your race bib & go through Kit Check.

Yes. Trail Pursuit is inclusive for beginner & experienced trail runners alike.
Please note for the 10K & Half Marathon there is a steep ascent at the beginning of the race up a track before you reach the rolling hills.
A mix of terrain including hard packed forest trails, elevated fells & bridleways ways, taking in panoramic views of the Snowdonia National Park!
No, all routes are fully marked & marshalled so you can focus on the epic trail running.
Everyone crossing the finish line will receive a Trail Pursuit medal for the distance they have completed. These will be given out in the finish funnel area by one of our amazing community volunteers!
Due to a few single track sections, along with multiple stiles we are not offering canicross racing here.
However your dogs are more than welcome in the event venue at Adventure Parc Snowdonia.
